How it all started...
I started
this business as a hobby about 20 years ago, building small items such as crafts
and toys for friends and family. From there, I moved on to larger projects like hutches, coffee tables, end
tables, and dressers, until I finally built my wife a new, big kitchen.
To the right is a hutch which was one of the first pieces of furniture I
built and is still on display in our dining room.
While growing
up, my dad was a logger, so I
have always been around wood, which helped fuel my love for building things out
of it. I cut, mill, and dry all of
my own wood to ensure the best possible lumber quality for all my projects.
When I dry the lumber, I dry it out to around 6% over about 6 to 8 weeks.
This slow drying process insures that the lumber will be the best
possible quality.
All the items listed on my website are
custom made and are not likely to be exactly the same due to the fact that I am
always trying to improve on what I build.
